Update: contest is over! There were 32 entries, all of which were amazing and it's so hard to choose any favourites... :noes: The plan was to have only one winner, but I can't resist adding some more.  So, here we go.

Cheetah-horse, Macaw-cheetah by DakyCat
It's a pretty simple cross after all - two quadrupedal mammals - yet really striking, cleanly drawn and posed, and a bonus 2-in-1 with that colourful cheetah, which distracts well from those spots and lines and stops the whole picture being repetitive to look around. Congratulations! I'll send your prize over soon.

The Mandarin Dragon would have been the winner, but the body shape seems to have been referenced from another drawing (not clear if there was permission earlier), and I prefer people to come up with own creatures. Still a gorgeous idea and design though, along with 5 other runners-up that I just HAD to feature.

You can all choose between 400 :points: or one month of core membership.

Seriously, if I had unlimited points and could afford to reward every artist, I would shower you all with bonus prizes too. Really impressed by the creativity and effort in every entry! Apologies to those not chosen, but I hope you had fun designing your creatures. Be proud of your art.

I've planned the next contest already. Hope you enjoyed the Terrible Horse disaster 'cause we're gonna multiply that by epic proportions. :giggle:
Just need to work out how to keep track of entries without using Collections, as I don't think anyone will want to clog up their galleries with this special kind of bollocks.

In other news...

My internet connection has been unreliable lately (as usual), tablet occasionally goes weird, and computer's still on the verge of death. I had to try 6 times to boot it up today. :noes:
At least everything is constantly backed-up with religious fervour, so I won't lose any files. It will just take  a (possibly long?) while to find and buy new hardware, re-download software (if it will even run on a newer OS) and set it up to draw again. Oh the joys of having very little money or tech-sense...
By the way, if anyone here knows about Linux - or computer stuff in general! - and could answer some questions, that'd be grand. ;)

Anyway, bye for now, and congrats again to the contest winners.
