Among dozens of ancient half-finished files was this avatar-sized animation.
I thought I might as well quickly fix and finish it... and share it, because why not.
As usual with my free icons, I expect it'll get stolen much more than properly used, but oh well.

Here's a PSD version if you prefer.
Or a PNG of this sheet, if the GIF format is awkward to edit.

I miiiight do custom colourings later? Depends how much I look forward to seeing them eventually stolen all over Howrse. -__-

Animation's mine. MS Paint and Photoshop CS3.
Originally sketched a while ago, no idea when this mini version was started. Only shaded it today.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong because for whatever reason it keeps telling me it is too large and I'm not figuring out why. It says smaller than 15kb but I didn't do anything to change it, and clearly it works for others... so I'm not sure if you have an idea?
Hmm, have you added a background, lots of colours (ie the full 256 instead of 24), or any extra things in frames? Those can all increase the file size. Also, even if something is 14.99 kb, when it comes to uploading it can have problems - so I try and stay below 14.8 or so.

Depending on what software you use, there might be extra options for exporting as a GIF - I can help you with those, if you use a newish Photoshop version.

Otherwise, without seeing your image, it's hard to guess what the problem might be... if nothing else works, then as a last resort, maybe I could try re-animating and testing it for you, it might work then?

I know someone else has a background on theirs, just a slab of color so I wouldn't think of that, but who knows. The only real thing  I did was that the color layers werent lined up with the shading and lines so I moved them down but it didn't change the layers or size or anything. I actually use GIMP 2.6.

Oh and to make it clear incase was misunderstood, the animation itself works just fine it's when I go to add it as my icon and upload it is that it says too large.
